Here’s a fun speculation post, and many thanks to nyuuchan for pointing me in the direction of one of the screencaps.

Have you guys noticed that Emma’s baby blanket keeps turning up? I have this thought in my head that it might be important - I actually don’t remember if I heard it somewhere - maybe some interview with the writers? - or I made it up in my head, but it’s fun speculating!

Here is the first time we see the blanket in the Pilot:

Do you see it? It’s on the armchair. This is the scene where Henry is trying to convince Emma to come to Storybrooke with him.

Then, the next time we see it, it’s here:

It’s later in the Pilot, but Granny is still knitting it! (it’s the war council scene)

Then, of course, Emma is born:

She is wrapped up in the blanket immediately, and she still has it when Charming drops her off in the wardrobe a bit later:

I don’t think we see it again in episode 2 or 3, but here it is again in episode 4:

It’s clear Emma has carried it with her all her life, since it’s the only thing she has of her family. You can’t see it here, but the blanket has her name on it (you can notice it a bit better during Charming’s fight scene) so it literally gave her her name. And Emma’s name is sure to be important (after all, they made a big deal about Snow telling Rumplestiltskin the baby’s name).
