Okay, those are all the questions, so I’ll be reopening the ask box in a moment! However, when we do re-open it, there’ll be some different guidelines about the types of questions we’ll answer. Look for them in the ask page.
I’ll get to the affiliates requests in a bit!
EDIT: the ask is officially open again and working! i’ve also answered ALL the affiliates requests and asks. So, as usual, if you don’t have an answer, it’s because we never received the ask.
Anonymous asked:
do you know if they’ve said how many seasons of this show they’ll have? i mean, i can’t imagine it going on for a really long time. but i want it too, i’ll be said if there’s only, like, two or three seasons…
Nobody knows that yet. Who knows how the ratings will be in a few years? However, we’re getting S2 for sure, so I wouldn’t worry.
howling-nightingale asked:
Why was Frederick leaving the town?
I don’t think they actually explained it? Maybe he was just drawn to wherever Kathryn was after bumping into her at school.

What do you think the importance of the cabin is, if any? I was just wondering since that is where Rumpelstiltskin to Belle’s father and that was also the same place Mary Margaret and David ended up when trying to reunite the bird with its flock.
Anonymous asked:
What do you think the importance of the cabin is?
I don’t know. Maybe it could be the dwarves’ cabin? Someone should make a comparison.

I am creating a “visual” time line of the events of ONCE UPON A TIME, to help the fans understand when things happened. I have a question that I am trying to resolve for this time line: When the evil queen became evil was Rumple already “cursed”, did the orge wars expand through out all of the events that we know of in Fairy tale land? PS: I will drop a link of my blog when I am ready to show off my time line.
Yes, when the Evil Queen became evil Rumples was already cursed - he’s been cursed for at least a century according to Jane Espenson, so he’s quite a bit older than everyone else! I know the Ogre Wars lasted for centuries, I’m not sure if it was one long war or several who started, ended and then started again. I’d guess the latter?
almostblackandwhite asked:
helloo, maybe my question got lost?:) anyway I’m bugging again - - I’d really like to know your opinion about what August was doing with the book? :) He must’ve taken it apart, then put it back together again, after WASHING it. Why? Was it with magical water from the well? Did he change it or make a copy? Your thoughts?
Anonymous asked:
Soo…. what is August doing with the fairy tale book? Is he trying to make it look like it got lost in the gutter? Did he find it on purpose so he could make a copy or….???? We are a little confused on this one! Thank you!
Anonymous asked:
Great blog - I’ve been a silent but very regular (read: obsessive) reader since you started it! About tonight’s episode, any idea whether August a.k.a. The Stranger was actually changing the contents of Henry’s book or merely making a copy?
almostblackandwhite asked:
(crazy theories aside :P) I really like the stranger, now known as August. I think his agenda and who he is will surprise us all :) Q: What was he doing? Just “washing” the book? Or maybe making a copy? Seemed like the latter to me?
I actually have no idea, lol. I mean, I don’t know why he would have to cut it up, put it in water, and then sew it back again if he just wanted to copy it, so I’m guessing he was doing something to it. If he changed it, I’m guessing Henry will notice and let us know next episode!
Anonymous asked:
Wouldn’t it be an interesting twist if they combined the story of Rapunzel with the backstory of Regina and her mother? As in, Regina had the long hair and because of the way Cora treated her, she turned out the way she is?
That’s interesting! I don’t know if it would fit, though - I’m leaning more towards the theory of Regina being the Miller’s daughter - that’s what I’ve thought since episode 2!
crysthao asked:
Rumpelstiltskin got the “Dark One’s” power by summoning him because he knew his real name. Yet everyone knows Rumpelstiltskin’s name. Even Regina in Storybrook. In your opinion how has Rumple still retained his freedom & how does Regina knowing his FTL name affect their relationship/rivalry in Storybrook?
I don’t think that’s how he got the Dark One’s powers - I mean, he got them because he killed him, and he only killed him because he wanted to be killed, so I don’t think the “knowing the Dark One’s name” thing is such a big deal. Especially since everyone seems to know it. But who knows, maybe there’ll be an episode when the Queen finds out his name? If she ends up being the Miller’s daughter, that’s very likely. However, knowing his name will probably only get her out of that original bargain, and nothing else after that.
intrikate88 asked:
TBH, though, just to be on the safe side I think Emma needs to go snog everyone in town and see if that works. Just in case. ;)
Ahah, yes, you’re not the first to mention this fine idea :)

Whats a ship
Well, anon, the dictionary tells me it’s “a vessel propelled by engines or sails for navigating on the water, esp a large vessel that cannot be carried aboard another, as distinguished from a boat.”
And Urban Dictionary says pretty much the same thing.
Anonymous asked:
David really tested my ship of David/Mary in this episode. The full contrast between Storybrooke/FTL becomes really evident. I wonder if the writers are putting fans to the test by trashing David’s character only to increase some sort of pay off in the end.
I’m sure we’ll get pay off, tbh. But I don’t think they’re doing it to put fans to the test, it’s just how the curse works. I mean, Archie was a child’s therapist and he knowingly told that child stuff that he KNEW was gonna be damaging. That’s the kind of stuff the curse MAKES you do, and it’s awful, but they are trying to fight it. Of couse, David is gonna have an harder time than Archie because Regina hates him more!
Anonymous asked:
I’ve noticed that David isn’t at all like James. In the last episode, the “noble” thing to do was to tell Katherine the whole truth yet he didn’t do it. James would have told the truth no matter who it hurt because it was the right thing.
Yup! That’s how the curse works! It makes you act unlike yourself.
Anonymous asked:
Wait, is the well August & Emma went to the same one that Cinderella’s prince disappeared by?
It DID look similar. It’s possible! Maybe the well connects the two worlds?
Anonymous asked:
Do you think that we will see Maleficent in Storybrooke?
I don’t see why not! Probably not this season, since Kristin Bauer is filming True Blood right now, but she could be free early next season!
Laura submitted:
I have been thinking that maybe Mr. Gold still has Snow’s hair, and maybe in an effort to convince Emma that Mary Margret truly is her mother, he will perform a DNA test. Just a thought….
Well, it’s possible, but I don’t think that’s what he wanted it for. I mean, if he wants to do a DNA test, can’t he go and ask for MM’s hair in Storybrooke? Emma would believe him more this way than if he suddenly produced a lock of hair from somewhere else.
Anonymous asked:
someone asked about the guy in the wheelchair seeing regina….was the guy in the wheelchair mo french?
Yup, that’s who he was.
Anonymous asked:
Since Belle is in 1.14 (Dreamy) do you think they’ll show what happened to her AFTER Rumpel/Beast threw her out? Since we know she did not die. :)
Yes, I think we’ll see her immediately after she leaves him!
Anonymous asked:
First things first, I love your blog! Keep up the awesome work. =] I haven’t seen this question asked, and I do apologize if it has and I somehow missed it. The Queen told Belle that any curse could be broken with a kiss, do you think that once Emma finds her true love that kissing him will break the curse?
Mmm… maybe, but I don’t think that’s really the story they are trying to tell? I think the curse will be broken by Emma doing something badass, not just kissing some dude. Although I’m sure she’ll find true love!
Anonymous asked:
do you think King George is going to die in FTL, it would explain why he hasnt been seen in SB.
I kinda think so, yes. He’s such an ass, he deserves to die! And I think someone mentioned that in the Pilot Snow and Charming seem to be living in his castle? So it makes sense that he’s dead!

My Theory is he is actually the a she. Maleficent. He wears black and purple just a like her. The bike could be the unicorn. Regina said ‘There was something familiar about him’ they were frienemies. Since Maleficent was a fairy she could have used her magic to escape the curse and hide. But he pribalky is actually the Pinnochio

Just wanted to share my theory about August - If one looks at the classic Alice in Wonderland story, Alice was a normal girl living in the regular world like the rest of us. She then stumbled down the rabbit whole and ended up in Wonderland - where the “fairy tale” part of the story happens. What if, in OUAT, they put a twist to the story and make it a boy who ends up in the fairy tale land - August in Wonderland! Which would also explain how he came to write the book - he experienced FT land!
Sounds great to me! I always say every show should be a little bit more like Ranma 1/2. There should be more genderswapping on television! :P
whyquestion asked:
There’s not much question about ‘What Happened to Frederick’ episode yet, I see. LOL. Well, it was JUST good. No more, no less. But Red-Charming in the end of episode make me wonder about something. Could they mix it with Snow White and Rose Red story? I can not think how they’ll mix it though. But both had dwarf, right? :P
I think it’s possible, but from the press release for 1x15, they seem to be following the RRH story pretty faithfully. Or at least, as faithfully as OUAT does anything!
Anonymous asked:
Sooo… what do you think will be “returned” to Emma, since she drank the well water? Graham??? What do you think August is hoping for?
I think it was the book! :)

After reading the returning guest stars for Red Handed, I agree that Dr Whale could be the Big Bad Wolf. But I’m curious to know, what made that so obvious to everyone from the get go? When he made his first appearance in Storybrook, a lot of people instantly came up with that theory. I was just wondering if maybe I missed something in the show that led everyone else to believe that so quickly.
He seemed very interested in Ruby. However, that theory has been debunked - he’s not the BBW :)
notawallet asked:
I have a theory that the queen locked Belle up in a tower and so basically she becomes Rapunzel, and the only person that is able to see her is the Queen. (Like Mother Gothel) But it’s just a theory.
Yeah, I agree Belle is locked up! I’m not sure how she is like Rapunzel (beyond the locked up thing), but I agree with you on that :)
simpleinspirations asked:
I hope I’m not the only Snow/Charming fan who got a kick out of seeing Abigail and even Kathryn HBICing all over Sunday’s episode. Since Mary Margaret and David live in our world, unfortunately their actions had to have had consequences and I’m glad they showed that. Obviously the curse had to do with the crash, but just wondering, what’s your theory on where Kathryn is? Institutionalized by Regina? Convenient coma?
Yeah, I love Kathryn/Abigail!
I think the ‘obvious’ answer is that Regina has her locked up. However, it’s also possible that Frederick found her - but I can’t think of a reason why he wouldn’t let anyone know - unless she asks him not to tell anyone while she recovers?
bookwormemi submitted:
I was rewatching the pilot of Once and realized Gepetto was the one who turned the enchanted tree into a portal that saved Emma, so Pinocchio could very well have been saved. However, the fairy said it would only work on one person, so who knows.
Well, it’s possible that each magic tree only has the power to save one person. Maybe Pinocchio was made from ANOTHER magic tree - and Emma’s was the last one :)
aoide-melete asked:
Don’t know if you saw, but Robert Carlyle replied to someone on Twitter saying we might find out why Rumple wanted Snow’s hair in 1x16. Damn! Now I’m excited.
Also, whichever episode he’s currently shooting apparently shows us why/how he lost Baelfor. (I’m done squeeing into your askbox now, I promise.)
Yeah, can’t wait to find out! The episode he’s shooting now is 19.
Anonymous asked:
Did you happen to notice that when Emma and MM were lying on the bed together, the clock said 7:15. I wonder what the significance of that time is. Any ideas?
Mm, well 7:15am was when MM/David used to meet up. So, 7:15pm (I assume it was pm) was her mourning their relationship?
Anonymous asked:
Is there a significance to the different title screens? (i.e. the fairy, the wolf, the horse, etc.)
They foreshadow an element of the episode.
Anonymous asked:
I guess my question got eaten, I was just wondering if maybe the Peter from the Red Handed episode had some link to Peter and the Wolf??
I don’t know, it’s possible! We’ll find out in a few weeks :)

Look in Mr. Gold’s vast room; there are a lot of interesting artifacts there. Do you think the swords that Belle pushes by could the excalibar sword? Doesn’t the Lady in the Lake give the sword? Or is the siren different? There were some Roman artifacts in the room; interesting there looked like a bible scene on the wall, but I didn’t get a good look at it. Emma is the only one who controls Mr. Gold. He respects her, has a tenderness towards her that is really touching. I think his favor will be to help him defeat the evil queen. The complexity of Mr. Gold/Rumple is a reflection of the complexity of all humans. Can’t wait to see what happens with Red: what did SW help her with when no one else would (did she have a baby?) and since she seems to be fairly wholesome (despite her Goth clothing) why did Granny say to her “I’m sorry my heart attack ruined your plans to sleep your way down the eastern seaboard” Why did she say that? It was probably the curse that made Red unable to leave by making Granny have a heart attack.
One last thought: look at Rumple at the beginning of the Skin Deep episode and look at him after Belle leaves: he’s aged considerably (he almost looks like he’s lost weight). By far, my favorite episode of the season, so far, with the exception of the pilot.
Sorry, last one. I don’t think Rumple is evil. I don’t think he ever forces a deal. He lays down the terms and people accept. I love that Belle, even as she was agreeing to go with him, agreed on her own terms, (“my family / friends will all be safe”, “you have my word”) and she stood up to him. Emma stands up to him as well, which may, in part, be why she is special to him. She’s kind to Mr. Gold, in a firm manner and she holds her own with him.
A lot of interesting insigh! About your question about Granny’s comment, I think RRH in FTL IS wholesome, while Ruby isn’t, and that’s why Granny made that comment :)
